Getting to know Tyler Rider, Esq.
Tyler grew up in Le Roy, New York, where he developed a strong work ethic through his experiences working in both the restaurant industry and construction. These experiences gave Tyler an appreciation for the hard work of the individuals and families he now represents as an attorney.
Tyler attended Le Roy High School before continuing his education at Alfred University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science. While at Alfred, Tyler was a member of the football team and earned several honors, including All-Conference Empire 8, Trenchman of the Year, Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year, and Saxon Scholar Athlete. He was also named to the President’s and Dean’s Lists and was a member of the Criminal Justice Club and Economics Club.
Following graduation from Alfred University, Tyler attended Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a member of the Willis Society, which is the highest academic honor at the College of Law. While in law school, Tyler served as Editor-in-Chief of the Ohio Northern Law Review and had two articles published in the Ohio Northern Law Journal. He also gained valuable practical experience through internships with the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office and Connors & Ferris. During his third year of law school, Tyler further developed his legal skills while working with the Ohio Northern University Student Law Clinic.
Tyler was drawn to Workers’ Compensation law because he finds it rewarding to help hardworking and deserving individuals during difficult times in their lives. His background working in construction and the restaurant industry has given him an understanding and appreciation for the challenges faced by injured workers.
As an Associate Attorney at Connors & Ferris, Tyler is committed to making sure his clients understand the Workers’ Compensation process and helping them navigate the system. He believes injured workers deserve to be treated with respect and kept informed throughout their case, while having an attorney who will fight to protect their rights. His attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to his clients allow him to provide effective representation to injured workers.
Tyler is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York Injured Workers’ Bar Association.
